Looking for something to read?

I saw on CNN that a huge mudslide in the Philippines possibly killed as many as one thousand people. These people have little forewarning systems in place and basically this mudslide totally engulfed their town and killed them in their sleeps. It reminded me of a short story I once read entitled And of Clay Are We Created by Isabel Allende. Allende is a Hispanic author not commonly known in most circles but her stories are told with extreme detail and emotion and I found this particular short story fitting.
