Atlantic City Trip - Friday

My flight was leaving Houston Hobby at 8am. Since the airport is 115 miles from Edna it was a very early morning for me. I had been looking forward to this trip for some time and the weekend couldn't come soon enough. Rob (rawl316) picked me up at the airport and we were on our way. For the record Rob is a great guy for picking me up. It was out of the way for him yet he still took the time to pick me up and make the 70 mile journey eastward.
Rob and I get into AC around 2pm and I called John (slyselea) to tell him we are all meeting at the Borgata - we were going to hook up with Shawn and play some cards. Shawn was playing 2/5 NL but I did not want to get stuck for that much cache so early. So without checking into the hotel Rawl and I start playing $1/2 NLHE. Around the 4th hand I got dealt JJ in middle position. Rawl was UTG (i think) and limped so I made it $15 to play and get one guy behind me to call. Play moves to Rawl and he reraises to like $60. Now I'm confused and have to think about it for a few minutes. Figuring I must be beat I begrudgingly mucked my hand. The other preflop caller decides to call with 99. The flop comes all rags and rawl continues his betting with $100 or so and wins the pot. He showed AA. It was a good laydown on my part but it was indicative of how my Borgata session would play out. During this session I was dealt pocket 4s or 5s several times but never once hit a set and I was stuck not knowing how to play them - whether it be a raise or limp. I tried aggression early but the cards and the table wouldn't cooperate and the big hands I did get (QQ/ JJ) would meet A or K high flops with aggressive bettors in front of me. Rawl saidI was playing "weak/tight". I would have to agree in some ways but the cards just weren't coming. After losing $300 I was done with the Borgata. The casino and poker room were both very nice. Donnie (knighty81) and Adam (atreyuisonfire) showed up around an hour after we started our session and played the Limit games. Jason (thehugeguy) sent me a few PMs that he would be in around 9pm or so that evening...

This is all we get??? We wait countless hours and you give us the first hour?? Man o man, what a let down :) I will assume more is coming..........
