Thanksgiving...

Hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving Day. This is my favorite holiday of the entire year next to Cesar Chavez day. Today's menu consisted of turkey (duh), dressing (dbl duh), gravy, dinner rolls (slightly buttered), cranberry sauce and some other crap that I can't remember right now.

I'm pry going to LA this weekend. Bunch of the Farmer's gang are headed to the casino to try their luck and i'll pry tag along. Been awhile since i've played in a casino.

LA = Lousy-anna

Had a very interesting date (with a girl, not my cousin) the other night. I enjoyed it immensely, but the conversation moved in a direction not normally associated with 2nd dates. Too damn funny. For those that care, she's very pretty, intelligent, charming and a great conversationalist.

Way out of my league, I know.

Had a nice conversation with Kent on AIM the other day. Turns out he knows more about grammar than I do.

Haven't seen Deemon in ages. Miss the conversations.

Things about the 6th grade

One thing I've learned from the kids is that "dating" can be pretty easy. Take Kristine* for example...

Last Friday was the 6th grade dance. A really big event in their Jr. High days because it was their first school dance. All I heard during the week was 'what are you gonna wear' to 'are you gonna dance?'. Very taxing on these youngster's souls.

The dance started just like I predicted - boys on one side and girls on the other. For the first hour nobody danced. So I asked the DJ if he had the song Cha-Cha by MC Chris. He did and they loved it. Real ice breaker. So, Kristine, who is a very tall girl, wanted me to make some guy dance with her. Any guy. I tried my best but no takers. So she finds a very short 7th grader. This guy is very nice but it's quite obvious he has never seen/participated/heard of a dance move. He gets an 'A' for effort. So... after only one dance, Kristine asks him if he has a girlfriend. He replies "no". She asks if he wants one. He says "yes" and just like that, they are an item.

Is dating really that easy now? I've been out of practice for so long.

I'm not here. Go away.

My little brother Lee just finished in 33rd at the US Amateur Pool Championships in Atlanta, GA. He was disappointed because he was playing well, but ran into some bad luck. Kinda like getting rivered in poker.

Here he is at the US Amateur's on Friday

He's much better at pool than I am at poker.

I have a few pics on my computer that are both crappy and random. Apologies in advanced to all those offended. Especially Hrbek. It was his idea.

RIP Old Man. You gave em hell.

One last thing: I sent Hrbek an AIM message on Friday and the bastid blocked me.
Keep your friends close. Keep your enemies closer.
